LWEMICOS
seeks to provide the best financial services to the economically active members
of Lwengo and its neighboring sub-counties. The
organization aims to maximize local resource mobilization through sensitization
of members about the importance of saving. Its goals are to:
- Expand its
savings membership through sensitization of the local people about the
usefulness of saving
- Develop a
savings culture among the members of LWEMICO
- Offer
credit facilities to members to help them enhance their income-generating
activities
- Increase
the share capital base of the society
- Mobilize
savings through the local people by giving profits to member’s savings
(fixed deposits)

Organization Objectives
The
AIDS Support Organization (TASO) strives to improve the lives of HIV-infected
or -affected persons as part of the larger effort to address the world’s AIDS
pandemic. It promotes prevention, hope restoration, and general support physically
and emotionally to its clients. Its goals are to:
- Offer
counseling to empower infected/affected persons to make informed decisions
on all societal levels: individual, family, community, national, and
international
- Improve the
quality of life and facilitate the balance between rights and responsibilities
- Provide
early diagnoses to clients so they can seek help and live positively
- Facilitate
care of infected/affected persons
- Mobilize
community to utilize resources to reduce stigmas about HIV/AIDS
