Community Development Opportunities in Argentina
The effects of Argentina's recent development struggles have left many marginalized communities fractured and disempowered. FSD works with several community development organizations to bring collective grassroots action to the La Plata region.

Interns, volunteers, and donors work with FSD to provide support for programs and initiatives that:
- Assist a university radio station that represents marginalized groups in La Plata by creating radio production workshops that identify community issues and facilitating knowledge exchange to raise self-esteem and capacity building.
- Offer meals for impoverished families, while holding breadmaking, computer science, and adult education courses.
- Host community events, workshops, conferences, expositions, and/or book presentations by local authors at a local cultural center. Other initiatives at the center include teaching capacity-building courses in a variety of subjects including piano, sewing, craftwork, theatre, small farming techniques, and English.
- Supply resources to over 58 local food kitchens to confront malnutrition, while connecting agriculture producers, schools, and dining halls to feed those in need.
- Offer professional assistance to community empowerment organizations and distribute publications that enhance community development.
