The Iguhu District Hospital is committed to providing accessible and affordable health care to its surrounding community.

Organization Overview

The Hospital provides a variety of services, such as:

  • PITC( Provider Initiated Testing & Counseling)
  • Free Tuberculosis (TB) testing with treatment coordinated with the TB district coordinator
  • Child immunizations
  • Maternal and antenatal care (including non-operative deliveries)
  • Laboratory services (basic)
  • Nurse outreach to the community, creating awareness and providing vaccines
  • Public Health outreach, including follow-up defaulter tracing and community awareness building
  • Management of uncomplicated HIV/AIDS related problems (both in and out-patient)
  • Dissemination of ARVs to enrolled patients and lower neighboring facilities
  • Admissions for uncomplicated serious common ailments
  • Family planning and abortion related care

Programs

Iguhu Hospital runs programs surrounding primary care, Volunteer Counseling and Testing (VCT) for HIV/AIDS, and public health outreach.
