Finding a Job

For most of us it's inevitable that at some point in life we will begin the often exasperating search for a job. Hopefully it will yield a job that we find fulfilling, speaks to our skills and passions, and empowers us make a difference...

...But where do we start?

AlumniConnect may not be able to give a fool-proof plan to find that job, but it can give you some great resources to and guides to make the path clearer.

The Starting Point:

So we referred to this as your career path, and like all paths we find ourselves on, it’s normally because we are one place, heading somewhere else. The best way to start on any road is to have a general idea of where you want to end up. Ask yourself the following questions:

  1. What type of job would make you happy?
  2. What fields does your experience lend itself to?
  3. What are you looking to gain from your next destination and where do you see it leading you even further down the road?
