Introduction
While some of you may have been Alumni for a few years now, and others of you are just returning from the field, AlumniConnect has been created to:
- Encourage connections between you and other alumni
- Support your continued involvement with your host organization and host community
- Empower you with the resources needed to pursue a vocation in global activism
AlumniConnect is more than just a network of alumni. It is a platform to continue down the path that led you to working in grassroots development with FSD. Engagement in advocacy, fundraising, and relationship building with other global activists lays the foundation for the vocational opportunities we seek and the global change that we demand.
How to Use AlumniConnect
- Check out the How to Stay Involved section for ideas on fundraising for your project work and different avenues to advocate for sustainable international development. You can inspire others to get involved while networking and building your resume.
- Check out the Job Resource Center to incorporate your FSD experience into your resume, find a job, view hundreds of job postings, join relevant listservs, and network with like-minded activists. Additionally you can find some useful information on interesting graduate programs, organizations, and recommended readings.
- If you are just returning from the field, click on the Re-Entry Resources section where you will find useful information on reverse culture shock and some helpful handouts for fiends and family.
- Use the Update Your Contact Information section to keep FSD up to date on your current contact information and career pursuits.
