About FSD
Online Communities
FSD is now proud to participate in several online communities, where people from around the world can come together and discuss issues in sustainable development as well as learn about our programs and join with alumni of our programs. Below are brief descriptions of how you can participate in these communities with FSD.
Change.org is a relatively new social network on which members concerned with social issues around the world can connect with others who care about the same issues and promote the changes they want to see in the world, connect with nonprofit organizations such as FSD and work with them on the issues, and donate to or fundraise for projects around the world. Visit or join our community on Change.org to connect with others who care about sustainable development and participate in our current fundraising projects!
NEW! FSD is taking the initiative to sponsor an amazing project that will transform the lives of generations in an entire community in Villa Elisa, Argentina. Check out our newest fundraising project! If you would like to help us spread the world, you can copy the widget below onto your own website, MySpace page, blog, etc. Simply click "share" and copy the code!
Facebook is one of the fastest-growing social networks today. On FSD's Facebook Group, you can connect with many of our past interns as well as those in the Facebook community who share a concern about sustainable development to discuss relevant issues and past experiences, share stories, thoughts, and ideas, and receive updates about new things happening within our organization.
On FSD's Facebook Organization page, you can connect with other Fans of sustainable development as well as view photo albums of some of the sites in which we work.
FSD also has a few Causes on Facebook, and you can help spread the word and support the cause. FSD's general cause calls for all who support sustainable development or who would like to support the projects our interns are conducting in the field, and our newest cause, Constructing to Create Opportunities, seeks to fund construction in a local community center that supports children in the Villa Elisa community of Argentina.
Given the incredibly large numbers of MySpace users today, MySpace is one of the easiest ways to find a community of like-minded individuals. FSD's MySpace page seeks to bring together a community of individuals passionate about sustainable development to post thoughts and stories and network with each other to support sustainable development.
WiserEarth brings together anyone who seeks to transform the world, centering on the main issues of our day--climate change, poverty, the environment, peace, water, hunger, social justice, conservation, human rights and more. Members create their own content and network with other individuals and organizations to achieve change. FSD is currently developing its own organization page on WiserEarth to help spread awareness of issues surrounding sustainable development; you can also join FSD's group on WiserEarth to encourage the transformation of our world via sustainable development.
